Barbara Hosman Art gets its name from Barbara Hosman, the artist behind the masterpieces. She discovered her passion for painting upon moving to Denver as a teenager from rural Wyoming where she received accolades for her unique talent over the years. However, she never fully grasped the extent of her skill until she crafted multiple paintings, including a 3 by 5-foot canvas for her son’s Airbnb in Granby, Colorado. Positive feedback from family and guests prompted the realization that her artwork could transcend garage sales or gifts to loved ones. This inspired her grandson and the company's President, Nicholas Smith, to explore the art industry and establish a business in 2024.

Nicholas Smith, President: 

Nicholas, Hosman's Grandson, brings a rich blend of academic excellence and practical experience to the forefront of the company's operations. As a dedicated family man with a robust foundation in business dynamics and deep-rooted connections to the arts—inspired by childhood memories of painting with his grandmother, Barbara Hosman—Nicholas's entrepreneurial spirit and love for art is both personal and profound.

 

Christine Smith, Manager:

Christine, Barbara's daughter, has 35+ years of ownership and management experience that plays a pivotal role in maintaining the operational efficiency of Barbara Hosman Art. Her responsibilities include managing day-to-day logistics, overseeing financial transactions, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping.
